"Making the World a Better Place, One Stitch at a Time"

What is Cosplay?

I refer you to the following definition:

Cosplay:
(cohs'puhleh) noun. the Japanese word for masquerading, generally done at anime and gaming events. An amalgamation of the words "costume" and "play."

What it boils down to mostly is the art of dressing up as one's favorite anime, fantasy and/or sci fi characters as a means of expressing one's fandom for a particular series or movie (usually while one is attending some kind of anime, gaming, or sci-fi convention.) At American conventions, cosplay contests are often held, where cosplayers have the opportunity to embarrass the hell out of themselves perform skits live onstage in front of large crowds of people and (possibly) win things as a result. Cosplaying is not a hobby which is for everyone (and it ain't a cheap hobby), but if it's something which is right up your alley, it can provide you with long hours of satisfaction and enjoyment. And sewing calluses the size of dinner plates.

Anyway, what you'll find on this website are a collection of costumes which I have made and have worn to various conventions over the past couple of years, as well as some helpful links and advice. I hope you enjoy your stay (and please, try not to judge me too harshly...)
