A doozy of a project. It took me days to work out the waistline, (which was made up entirely of vertical seams). I also had to work out a way to attach a petticoat underneath (and to keep the hem of the dress nice and level.) There was a lot of decoration which had to be applied by hand and the puffy sleeves were no picnic to attach. At least the cross was easy to do. I simply cut a piece of friendly plastic to shape, painted it, strung it from a chain and, as Miss Fontaine herself would say (being French and all,) VOILA!
