One of my more difficult armoring commissions, (and not only because of its skimpiness.)
The brassiere I made out of a bra, some burgundy spandex, and a couple of rounded sections of a 5" plastic Christmas ornament. I created the raised design around the brassiere with foam and styrene. I had to design the hip armor by fitting cardboard around a dress form and experimenting until I could come up with a workable shape. (Activity-wise, it was more related to sculpture than it was to costume-making. In my opinion.) The front and back silver panels also had to be designed from scratch. (The red gem in front is a sawed off section of plastic Christmas ornament.) The fabric panels were made from a flowy polyester material.
The gauntlets were made from sheets of foam covered with styrene and the attached elbow cops were made from 5" plastic christmas ornaments decorated with a styrene spike and painted with silver enamel.
