Wow. This was probably the hardest thing I've ever done. I used .020 styrene to make the armor, fluting it by bending the plastic with my hands. Each individual "feather" had to be bent and glued into place. (I can only imagine how much work a METAL version of this costume would take...) I created the gold ornament on the chest and the gold feather ornaments at the shoulders by drizzling hotglue into a sheet of styrene into the design of an eagle and a pair of feathers. The round part of the feather ornaments were made from wooden toy wheels.
The hardest part of any costume like this are the legs which have to be made so that they're both form-fitting AND able to move. (Something which takes a lot of trial and error.)
I would like to say about this costume, but it's so complicated, it would take volumes.... (NOTE: I'm currently working on the sword and helmet to this costume and will post pics as soon as I can...)
